Extra Large Bath Sheets

We make three drying sizes and this is the biggest. The bath towel at £8 is the everyday one, the size most bathrooms are stocked with. The bath sheet at £13 is the oversized one that most people mean when they say they want a big towel. The extra large bath sheet, listed on the site as the Super Sheet, is £15 and goes a step beyond that again.

All three are 100% combed cotton at 600GSM, so they feel the same and behave the same in the wash. The only thing that changes is how much of you is covered when you get out.

Tall people, first and foremost. If you are over six foot, a standard bath towel is a negotiation rather than a towel, and even a bath sheet can run out at the wrong moment. Beyond height, it suits anyone who has a bath rather than a quick shower, anyone with long hair who wants a second towel that is genuinely big enough to wrap it, and anyone who uses a hot tub in a British garden in February and wants something to disappear into on the walk back.

What is the difference between a bath sheet and an extra large bath sheet?

Both are bigger than a bath towel. The bath sheet at £13 is the standard oversized size. The extra large, our Super Sheet at £15, is larger again, and the practical difference is whether the towel tucks and stays put on its own or needs a hand holding it shut.

What does 600GSM mean, and is it good?

GSM is grams per square metre, which is the weight of the cotton pile. Around 400 to 500 is everyday towelling, 600 to 700 is the plush end, and 800 plus is spa territory that takes an age to dry. At 600GSM these feel like a treat and still dry on a heated rail overnight, which is the balance most people actually want at home.

How do I keep it soft?

Wash at 40 degrees and go easy on the fabric conditioner, or skip it altogether. Conditioner leaves a coating on cotton that makes towels feel silky at first and noticeably less absorbent over time. A tumble on medium, or a good shake before it goes on the line, does more for the pile than any softener.

Will it fit in a normal washing machine?

Yes, though it takes up more room than a bath towel, so wash it with a couple of hand towels rather than trying to fit a full set of everything around it. Cotton this weight holds a lot of water, so a spin at the end of the cycle is worth it.
