A UK king size duvet is 225 x 220cm and goes on a king bed of 150 x 200cm, sold as a 5ft bed. Note that it is wider than it is long, unlike a double, which is square. It is also a full 25cm wider than a double duvet, which is the difference you feel when two people are pulling.

Every king set on this page comes with two housewife pillowcases at 50 x 75cm. If your bed came with king size pillows, which are longer at 50 x 90cm, standard pillowcases will not fit them and you will want to check the product page before ordering.

A king bed fills a room, so the covers matter. Plains and small repeats make the bed feel calm and the room feel bigger. Large prints work, but they need space around the bed to breathe. If the room is tight, the safest route is a plain or textured cover with the pattern brought in through cushions instead.
